Detection equipment provides the tools and technology to enable you to evaluate and determine the actual threat faced when responding to a terrorist attack using Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The First Responder must be able to detect and determine threats that fall into four categories:

Nuclear Agents
Biological Agents
Chemical Agents
High Explosives

Note: the acronym NBC is generally used to describe the first three (nuclear, biological, and chemical agents).
