Very high sensitivity to small amounts of metal, excellent interference suppression and large audio dynamics are characteristic for this design. The MD 535 was designed for the detection and pin point location on conductive soil, of ordnance, mines, improvised explosive devices and weapons. The MD 535 allows a pin point location of objects. The presence of metal objects is indicated by a dual audio signal. The precise object centre is indicated by the change of audio signal between low and high frequency. The device can be used successfully on mineralised soil or in areas with strong interference. For better adaptation to different search operations, the MD 535 offers three sensitivity settings (low, middle and high) and two search modes (dynamic or static). Dynamic mode requires no compensation. In static mode, a manual compensation is necessary.
