Anti-Riot Shield (EMPS401)

This anti riot shield is designed to effectively meet the need of a body control device that is maneuverable, lightweight and inexpensive. It is constructed of opal grade transparent polycarbonate using a thermo plastic sheet that will withstand high impact. The shield comes in four thicknesses and can be further customized with protective foam on the concave face and rubber edging on the perimeter. The two solid cast aluminum handles are ergonomically coated with Platicsol for user comfort and rigidity.

Optical grade virgin polycarbonate .158 (4mm) thickness for greatest impact resistance. Manufacturing process that minimizes inherent stress in formed shield.

Shield Handle
Coated cast aluminum handle for added comfort and positive grip.
Handle incorporates a flanged base with impact absorbing gasket mounting system to distribute force.
Forearm pad of closed cell foam that is dense, durable and impact resistant.
Fasteners are zinc plated and self-locking to resist loosening with repeated blows.
Forearm Retainer
Two piece bridle leather with three position snaps or high strength synthetic material with Velcro closure, both with quick disengagement feature.

The Polycaptor Institutional Shield was first designed in 1967 to most humanely and effectively meet the need for a body control device that is maneuverable, lightweight, and inexpensive enough to be kept at all strategic locations.
It is constructed of Optical Grade, transparent, virgin polycarbonate using G.E. Lexan, Dow Calibre or Bayer Makrolon engineering thermoplastic sheet that will withstand high impact.
These shields are offered in four thicknesses from .158 to .500 to meet the most demanding requirements of every environment. The shield can be further customized with.75 protective foam on the concave face and rubber edging adhered to the perimeter.
The two solid cast aluminum handles are ergonomically coated with Plastisol to provide the user with maximum comfort while providing heft and torsional rigidity.
Used by U.S. Military Police, Correctional Institutions and hospitals of all types.
