This comprehensive kit brings together much of the functionally of the entire range of hook and line equipment. Mounted in a backpack, which may also be transported via the carrying handles, instruments are stored in clear pouches. These pouches may be easily detached and exchanged via the Velcro fastenings. The backpack comes with a detachable small pack, which may be used to go forward to specific tasks. The kit includes 100m of high strength Kevlar rope, a range of hooks, anchoring devices and attachment tools, and the advanced automatic pulley opening system. This system allows suspect devices to be negotiated along complex routes, without the operator having to return to the hazardous area. The kit also includes a selection of search mirrors and telescopic arms from the search equipment range.

Large Backpack
A revolutionary concept in transporting hook and line equipment, the NIC Backpack has been designed specifically for EOD teams deploying into difficult areas. Equipment is stored within clear pouches and net pockets, inside the pack, for fast identification. The Clear pockets are Velcro mounted and may be removed, or exchanged in the pack. Space is available within the backpack, for teams to add their own equipment. The backpack may be carried on the back, or the straps stored away, and carried either horizontally or vertically by the carrying handle. It will also accept the small pack, which may be zipped to the front.
Small Pack
Supplied empty of equipment, various sized clear pouches are available to store equipment. The Clear pockets are Velcro mounted and may be removed, or exchanged in the pack. The pack may be carried on the back, or the straps stored away, and carried either horizontally or vertically by the carrying handle. It will also attach via zips to the large Backpack. The concept of this small pack is to allow teams to transfer equipment from other kits and vehicles to the small pack and then proceed to specific tasks.
White Kevlar rope
5.5mm diameter, Kevlar core with polyester over braid. 100m long, fitted with snap hook. Min breaking strength 760kg, with 1% max stretch at full load. Total weight 2.1kg.
Anchor Line
5.5mm diameter, Kevlar core with polyester over braid. 4m long, fitted with snap hooks at each end. Used as an extra securing device.

High strength stainless hook with brass mount. Thread size 3/8” BSF. Painted black leatherette powder.

Adapter

Telescopic pole, 1.5m, 4-section
4 section telescopic pole with twist lock action. Closed down length 0.5m, open length 1.5mmm. To accept spring gate hooks and triple barb hook.
Extension Rod
An aluminium extension rod, 19mm diameter x 300mm long. Fitted with internal 3/8” BSF thread one end, and an external 3/8” BSF thread at the other end. Plastic covered to enhance grip. Accepts all hooks that have a 3/8” BSF external thread, and the 25mm eye. Used to create an extension rod for hard to reach areas. Can also be used as an aid to position hooks.
Rope slings
A range of rope slings made from prestretched polyester. All ropes have a 35mm diameter loop at each end, and EWL of 2000mm.

Wire slings

Cantilever Clamp
A self-gripping cantilever clamp, in which the gripping force increases the harder the clamp is pulled. Fitted with steel teeth. Construction is black painted and zinc plated steel. Tooth jaws may be rotated 90 degrees. Fitted with 200mm long wire assembly with rigid eye for rope attachment. Max opening 100mm. Overall length 230mm. Weight 0.9kg. Comes complete with Allen key to fix tooth jaws.
Spring loaded self-grip clamp
Zinc plated, spring loaded crocodile style clip. Max opening 25mm. 120mm overall length. Fitted with 1.5mm galvanised wire, 200mm long & rigid eye for rope attachment.

Small stopper
Large stopper
Used to create anchor points in non regular shaped cracks or gaps. Manufactured from aluminium alloy. Color anodised for quick identification, stoppers have a unique transverse taper that increases surface area contact to provide the best placements in non-parallel cracks. Sculpted and optimized for easy placement and removal. Transverse taper allows easy placements in non regular shaped cracks.

An illuminated security mirror to assist in searching. An automatic on/off switch provides illumination to the mirror offering excellent vision day or night. Mirror back moulded plastic. Telescopic inspection arm
A purpose made telescopic handle which will accept a variety of mirrors. When closed, the four section handle measures just 480mm, and will extend to a maximum length of 1.5m. A revolutionary twist and lock mechanism enables the Telescopic Inspection Arm to be locked at any length.
