    The RAID-1 is a hand-held chemical agent detector based on ton mobility spectrometry. Due to automatic polarity switching, the RAID-1 continuously detects all relevant chemical warfare agents. The built-in microprocessor evaluates the recorded ton mobility spectra. The results - identified agents and calculated concentrations - are shown on the display. Sophisticated software prevents false alarms due to interfering substances found in battlefields and takes into account the possible destruction of agents.
