This optimum temperature reduces the risk of heat stress while increasing, worker productivity. The KOOL-VEST can be worn directly against the skin and is ideal for use under disposable clothing or full body chemical suits. A unique blend of non-toxic and non-carcinogenic chemicals are packed in polyurethane pouches and are designed to draw heat from the body and allow tile bodv to cool naturally. The vest's standard cooling packs will solidify in approximately 15 to 30 minutes when set in a mixture of ice and water and provide a full 4 hours of body cooling. The KOOL-VEST exterior is made of durable fire retardant cotton and the inner surface is a soft nylon quilting for worker comfort. Our KOOL-VEST has been designed larger to cover more uipper body surface area and to provide extended cooling time to the worker. Three custom designed cooling packs are provided to cover the back and left and right chest areas. Our vest has a unique zipper front for ease of donning with adjustable side and shoulder straps to accommodate small to XXX-large chest sizes. The KOOL-VEST weighs only 7 pounds with the standard 4-hour packs or 4 pounds with the optional 2-hour packs.
