The ERGOTEC SUIT is the most advanced of its kind in the world today. It has been developed in close conjunction with the British Army and has met all their stringent criteria. Never has a piece of equipment of this nature been so extensively tested through all its stages of development. This has all been backed up with over 20 years of experience gained in designing and manufacturing protective equipment for the British Army. The suit is designed to protect the IEDD operator when rendering safe the IED, however it is vital during the phase of rendering safe that the EOD Suit does not impede the operator's demanding task. System Fitting and Hygiene: The nature of EOD operations involves a high level of physical activity. As such the sizing of any suit is critical in assisting the operator in their task. The system comes in 5 sizes of suit with the three sizes of plate. This allows for the system to be sized to the individual operator as it is possible for the leggings of a medium suit to be supplied with the jacket of a large suit. This means that shorter well built operators are not forced to wear long trousers. As stated in the individual component descriptions all the elements of the suit that are in contact with the skin or the environment are readily wiped clean or removable and washable in normal washing machines. This greatly improves operator comfort. Protection Levels: The levels of protection offered by the ERGOTEC system are currently restricted information. These can only be released to a prospective customer after clearance by LSSI’s Security Officer. Color range: The ERGOTEC suit is available with outer covers in a variety of colors. • Paris Blue/Black • Tan/Black • Navy Blue/Black • Other colors are available on request • By simply changing the outer cover one armored inner can be used in a variety of colors Communications: A wide range of communication systems can be used with the ERGOTEC suit both wired and radio Optional Cooling system: For use in hot climates the ERGOTEC jacket has a back pocket permitting the optional MKVI cooler unit to be fitted. This circulates cool dry air around the torso and upper legs enhancing user comfort. Phase change and water circulation cooling systems can also be used with the ERGOTEC system
