Equipped with Virtual Impactor and Pyrolyzer, the CBMS is capable of detecting and classifying BWAs within 3 minutes. Counter the Threat of Biological Agents If your task is to monitor the air for BWAs the CBMS Block I is the system of choice. The CBMS is lightweight and, due to its modular design, easily adaptable to the customers needs concerning system integration. Operation on-the-move is possible without modifications. In the B air monitoring mode, the system is capable of unattended operation. Currently, the basic Agents of Biological Origin (ABOs) are detectable. The CBMS Block I is based on the well-proven membrane inlet/ion getter pump design. Its resistance to mechanical shocks, harsh environmental conditions, vibrations and extreme temperature differences has been proven in tests carried out by the U.S. Army. Due to the concept of Pyrolysis Mass Spectrometry, no liquid consumables are required.
