The HAMMER Suit® meets or exceeds the level of protection against chemical warfare agents specified in U.S. MIL-C-29462. Product testing with live chemical warfare agents at world-renowned independent test facilities validates the reliability of the SARATOGA® fabric. The HAMMER Suit® is a SARATOGA® chemical and biological warfare agent protective suit specifically designed for first responders. It was developed at the request of a major law enforcement agency familiar with the superior performance of the SARATOGA® JSLIST Suit – the only chemical protective overgarment qualified for use by the U.S. Department of Defense. The HAMMER Suit® is produced in the same battle-tested, two-piece configuration as the JSLIST Suit but in navy blue color, with hook and loop fastener tape on the chest and sleeve shoulders for the placement of department identification patches. It is also available as a one-piece coverall to meet the special needs of some first responders. The core of SARATOGA's technology is its spherical adsorbers, a very specialized form of activated carbon. The advantages of these adsorbers are their highly efficient spherical form, which provides the maximum available surface area for adsorption; their enormous inner surface area consisting of macro-, meso- and micropores, to adsorb and firmly bind molecules of chemical warfare agents and other contaminants; and their very high degree of mechanical stability, for durability in the most demanding applications. These high performance adsorbers are also very resistant to abrasion and dust-free, making them particularly suitable for use in industrial-scale production processes. SARATOGA's technologies include proprietary methods for producing superior adsorptive compound materials utilizing its spherical adsorbers. Adsorptive compound materials are multifunctional filters, which range from light and flexible textiles to industrial filter media. These specialized adsorptive compound materials can be used in a variety of high performance filtration applications. SARATOGA® protective fabrics are adsorptive compound materials specially designed to provide optimal protection from chemical and biological warfare agents.
